    I totally agree and would want my child off of all drugs as soon as possible. A step down program must be feasible for the individual, but I have not found anything that "fits" the real world.

    My son has been on suboxone for almost 13 years. Don't we really want to get off the drugs completely? I do realize there are instances with addicts with PAWS, who have used extensive amounts for extended periods of time, that need much longer than 7 days to ween off the drug suboxone.     So true, also Dr.'s can prescribe unlimited ammounts of opiates yet there are limits on how many patients they can prescribe suboxone to.The medical community and the insurance companies are the first place changes need to start!
